the HOUSE

The house is Grand – but it feels warm & welcoming.

surrounded by formal gardens, solsborough was once known as one of IReland’s famous “Big HOuses”. Today, it is recognised as one
of the “historic houses of Ireland”.

the ROOMS

The main house sleeps 16+. The six bedroom suites include a vast master suite (with emperor-size bed) and a family suite (with inter-connecting bedrooms). Sofa beds and extra child beds are available if needed.  A cottage on the estate provides further accommodation - ideal if you are travelling with your own personal staff.

The terrace is sheltered and sunny - the perfect spot to enjoy an al fresco supper and our famously long, bright summer evenings.

If you come when it’s chilly then snuggle up to star-gaze with a glass of Irish whiskey (from Waterford crystal glasses, naturally).

So much of the house has a story to tell. The chandeliers used to adorn the seafood restaurant of London’s iconic Savoy Hotel – and the striking marble bar in the kitchen was reclaimed from the Alexander McQueen store on Bond Street.

The luxurious touches go without saying - pristine linens, beautiful art works – but it’s the embracing feeling that lingers. Solsborough is a house that leaves you wanting to come back.
